Although born in Liverpool Mark left his beloved Merseyside for ventures new spending several years in Greater Manchester before settling in North Yorkshire. Since leaving school many moons ago Mark has worked as a quality control inspector for a carpet manufacturer and a plastic moulding company, and as a stock controller for a large supermarket chain 'where mums like to go', also worked for a high water pressure jet company, a carer and for a couple of years he worked for two large security companies. Mark has also trained in search and rescue. Mark is father
of nine and already an established Grandad as he puts it. Mark started
writing his first book about Ghost Hunting in 2009 which was placed on
hold and remains so, when he was commissioned to write Haunted Scarborough,
released by the History Press in 2010, and then commissioned to
write Haunted Hull also by the History Press due
for release in Sept' 2012. In between the two books Mark completed another
book about Folk Tales in Yorkshire which he is now looking for a publisher
for. Mark has already written stories for other Authors before he started
his own books including Jason Karl's book 21st Century Ghosts
by New Holland Publishers Ltd (28 Sep 2007), along with stories
placed around the Internet. Mark plans
more books Paranormal related and already has several ideas in the pipeline.

could be added to one of his books. Mark prefers to write about peoples
personal experiences rather just hearsay or speculation about a building
or location. Mark is also an avid dog lover and has two staffordshire bull terriers called Buster and Riley. He says despite the breeds reputation they are very misunderstood, as you will find it difficult to find a more loving and loyal breed of dog. Contact
